About us

Foundations Thera-Fitness and Physical Therapy (FTPT) was founded to provide a place for individuals to gain strength and confidence in a setting where they will receive intervention tailored to meet their individual needs, and Tracee's  desire is to fill the niche between traditional symptom based physical therapy and performance.  She will combine rehab science and  hands-on experience treating and training individuals across the spectrum of performance needs.  Tracee will focus on correcting the movement impairments that often lead to a poor response to exercise or eventually lead to pain.  She is particularly concerned with habitual postures and repeated movements that contribute to current or potential functional issues.  This strategy  helps to create programs allowing individuals to move beyond simply "managing" their symptoms to building a robust musculoskeletal and neurophysiological capacity.

Tracee has been practicing physical therapy for over 23 years.  Tracee received her Bachlor's of Exercise Science in 1996 and Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Montana in 1998.  Then, completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2015.  Her physical therapy practice has included transitional care, home health, school district, acute care, outpatient orthopedic and emergency center settings.  Tracee likes to incorporate a combination of gentle manual techniques with movement retraining. Tracee’s continuing education interests have lead her in many directions including pilates, treatment of TMJ dysfunction, hypermobility, manual therapy treatment, casting for orthotics, movement impairment corrections, Tai Chi and Qi Gong.

Rates and Insurance

FTPT participates with just a few insurance companies.  Why? The answer is quite simple, the administrative costs required to maintain some of these contracts would impact our ability to provide quality individualized care.
Therapists at clinics that accept most insurance companies are often seeing up to 3 patients an hour and spend an average of 15 minutes of one-on-one time with each patient while aides and technicians instruct patients in exercise.  Here you will spend the entire session with your therapist so you will heal faster in fewer visits.

Payment is due at the of service unless we are contracted with your insurance. Current insurance company contracts include Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Medicare, Cigna, First Choice Health, and LNI.  Auto insurance claims will also be processed.  Cash, checks and major credit cards are accepted. *If FTPT does contract with your health insurance and you choose to submit to your insurance company for physical therapy reimbursement, a detailed receipt will be provided.

Payment at the date of service deductions apply. If we are contracted with your insurance company we are contractually obligated to bill them first.
